People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. -- - Salma Hayek

The Government's new security supremo has warned that if Britain is to succeed in countering the mounting terrorist threat, its inhabitants must change one of their national characteristics. Specifically, Admiral Sir Alan West urged Britons to drop their reluctance to tell tales on their neighbours and prepare to inform on each other to protect society as a whole.
"Britishness does not normally involve snitching or talking about someone," he told the Sunday Telegraph. "I'm afraid, in this situation, anyone who's got any information should say something because the people we are talking about are trying to destroy our entire way of life."
Do you think we should be willing to abandon British traditions of discretion and respect for the privacy of others in the face of the current terror threat?
Or do you fear that we may be encouraging a culture where overzealous do-gooders poke their nose into the affairs of others and report to the authorities anything considered outside of “normal” behaviour?
